World War One - Roll of Honour
The six Moore brothers would be of call up age at the start of World War One. It will be a challenge to find out if they joined the armed forces or were in protected occupations. The only vague information known at present is that William G Moore was in the Artillery. His eldest son Arthur later followed his example by joining the Artillery during World War Two.

World War Two - Roll of Honour
Arthur Moore = Royal Artillery in Northern Ireland during WW2 and then sent to Wales and Joined South Wales Boarders. Sent to Europe after D-Day,
Died aged 81
Len Moore = Kings Royal Rifles Corporal Went to Durban in South
Africa before being sent to the North African Desert as part of
the Desert Rats, Then Went to Italy where he was sent home ill
with Cancer. Given 6 months to live but died 10 years later.
Used to have chameleon on his shoulder as pet to keep the flies
away. Born 4th July 1927. Died aged 37

10.03.1923 Royal Armored Corps, Died aged 75
Cyril Moore = RAF Barrage Balloon unit in Cornwall then moved to London. Joined as Air Crew as a rear Gunner in Wellingtons Bombers and later in Lancaster’s as part of Bomber Command
Les Moore = RAF Aircraftsman ground crew at RAF Northholt VIP lounge. Died
aged 73
